Yasemin Taşkin was born in 1982 in a small hamlet on the Black Sea's southeast coast, where her aesthetic point of view is anchored in the region's wonderful scenery and culture. The tea fields and the people who labor in them, which are the first photos in her landscape, became her most inspiring settings for photography and video creation later on.

Her childhood and early adulthood, however, were spent in Istanbul, where she completed her schooling. Marmara Fine Arts University was where she studied cinema.

Her artistic mediums are documentary photography and videography of everyday life.

For the past six years, she has worked as a freelance content creator for several brands. She enjoys working with natural light, creating sceneries and styles, and promoting them through her distinctive visual style.
